●PREL received a check for $2,700.00 in December.
●Approx. 100 box tops per month are being collected across the school.
●All teachers should have dedicated Box Top collection canisters, if not contact Rachel.
●Labels for Education are also being collected but do not accumulate as quickly as box tops.
●Labels for education do not contain expiration dates like Box Tops do.
●According to Kirstin all Box Top money is put in the school’s general fund.
February Teacher Conference Meals
●Parent/Teacher conferences will be held February 10th, 11th, and 12th.
●Great parents response to sign up genius that was sent out in mass email from SVVSD distribution list.
●Question was raised if it would be possible for parents to contribute money instead of signing up to bring food for conference meals. PTO will look at including that option.
●Spirit Wear - PTO will have Spirit Wear table each night during conference with sample merchandise and order forms for additional orders to be placed.
●Teacher and staff are encouraged to wear current and past spirit wear during conferences – especially Monday, February 9th.
●This will be the last change to order winter spirit apparel.
●Summer spirit apparel will be available later in year.
Qdoba Coupon Fundraiser
● Qdoba Coupons will be $10.00
● Qdoba coupon books will be available in front office & from PTO Board members beginning 1/30/15.
●All funds raised will be ear marked to help support next year’s 5th grade class in their efforts to raise money to attend Cal Wood retreat.
●Spring Carnival will be held on April 24th at Prairie Ridge Elementary from 5p to 8p
●Theme will be “Country Hoedown”

o Mrs. Shaklee (all school) - Ice Machine for $316.64
o Mrs. Schiers - $750 for teacher scholarship for training
o Mrs. Marcellus - $233.08 for Common Core Workbooks

●Financial recordkeeping updates almost complete from beginning of school year through present.
●Talked about possible fund raisers, dinner out, spring fund raiser, pay for a day (hat/pj day, crazy hair day)
● PTO will do “Pay for… Days” in February & April (near Valentine’s Day & April Fool’s Perhaps)
●Need to send out shout point prior to “pay for days”
●PTO will host a volunteer luncheon & possibly Pride Assembly later in year
● PTO may give small gifts to volunteers at this luncheon
●Next year PTO may begin a “Spotlight On….” Featuring a specific volunteer each month in the Post

●Part of teacher appreciation day was a free yearbook for teachers last year, but some teachers would prefer not to have this as their appreciation gift.
● Zoa will survey teachers to establish a count for which teachers would like a yearbook and which teachers would not.
